STATEMENT OF FAITH

The vision of IOI is simple—to obey the commands of Christ by financially supporting a few of our poor brothers and sisters who minister in poverty.  Our support comes from individuals and churches from multiple evangelical Christian denominations in Europe and the USA.

Ministers and ministries supported through Indigenous Outreach International must have been involved in the ministry for a minimum of two years; be recommended by and subject to their local authorities; and have belief in agreement with the Apostle’s and Nicene Creed, and believe the Bible to be inspired of God without error in the original manuscripts.  Furthermore the ministers supported through IOI should preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ clearly as explained in scriptures such as I Corinthians 15:1-6 and be expecting the physical bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Concerning the Ethiopian Orthodox Church -

As believers in the Gospel of Jesus the Christ we embrace all those who proclaim Jesus as Lord and believe in His incarnation, death, burial and resurrection.  The Orthodox Church in Ethiopia has a long history.  It is not our desire to “convert” anyone to religion, but rather that we might be used by God to promote discipleship and the proclamation of the Gospel.
